Bomb threat directed at Cobb County State Court

MARIETTA, GEORGIA- It was scary day at the State Court of Cobb County yesterday when the 911 Center received a bomb threat directed at the State Court. Everyone was evacuated around 9:00 a.m. and all of the surrounding streets at the courthouse were blocked off causing a major traffic jam.

There were no bombs located during the search but investigators found a small fire in the third-floor men’s restroom. The fire was quickly extinguished by agents.

The evacuation was over around 11:00 a.m. and it was business as usual.

No arrests have been made at this time.
