GM Can’t Shake Suit Over Ignition Defect Settlement – Law 360

General Motors Co. lost a bid Saturday to dismiss a suit in Georgia state court that claims the automaker negotiated a confidential settlement in a wrongful death action last fall by hiding key details about its defective ignition switches.
Judge Kathryn Tanksley denied GM’s motion to dismiss in a Saturday hearing, saying the plaintiffs’ allegations of fraud are sufficient to proceed to a jury.
