Cooper, who had presented evidence at the deposition showing that two ignition switches bore the same number, told Law360 on Wednesday that the company had insisted at the time that it was not aware of any such switch redesign. The deposition was part of a suit that Cooper brought on behalf of the estate of a woman who died in a crash, after the key in the ignition of her Chevrolet Cobalt allegedly slipped from the run position.
