Man killed after losing control of vehicle, three others injured
A 28-year-old man was killed and three other passengers injured after he lost control of his SUV last Saturday night in Cobb County. Corey W. Green, from Powder Springs, was driving a maroon 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer on Hiram Lithia Springs Road, when he lost control on a right-hand curve. After losing control of the vehicle, it exited the roadway and hit a tree causing it to flip, according to investigators.
Green died from his injuries later that night after being taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. There was also a 4-year-old girl in the vehicle who was flown to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite and is being treated for serious injuries. The two other passengers, 23-year-old Hillary Brinson and a 9-month-old girl were taken to Kennestone Hospital and were treated for their injuries. Both were released Sunday night.
Investigators are still unsure of how or why the driver of the vehicle lost control.
