Ford and Lincoln vehicles
This month Ford announced a recall of over 1.5 million vehicles. Certain model years for the Ford F-150 truck, Ford Mustang, Lincoln Continental, and the Lincoln Nautilus and Navigator SUV were all included in the recall. The 2011-13 Ford F-150 truck was recalled over a safety hazard that occurs when the truck experiences an unintended downshifting in first gear. It’s a safety hazard that has caused at least 5 accidents. 2017-19 Lincoln Continentals were recalled due to a door hazard. The latch may become contaminated with silicon that prevents the door from closing completely and risks opening during operation. Lastly, select 2019 Ford Mustang, Lincoln Nautilus and Lincoln Navigator vehicles may have a defect that causes the interior video instrument to be blank on start-up. Owners will receive notice in the US Mail regarding instructions on repairing or replacing any recalled part.
