GM recall crash victim’s family claims company lied – In Auto News

Ken and Beth Melton, parents to Brooke Melton, 29, who died in March 2010 after her 2005 Cobalt experienced a problem with the defective switch and collided with another car, said that GM fraudulently concealed evidence and allowed one of their representatives to lie under oath.

“The Meltons would not have settled their case if they had known of the perjury and concealment of critical evidence,” said the couple’s attorney, Lance Cooper.
