Honda is Recalling 18k Cars for Brake Issues

Honda is recalling more than 18,000 cars in the United States to fix a problem with their brakes. The recall affects Acura RSX compact cars manufactured in 2006 and the Honda S2000 sports car made in 2006 to 2007.

The issue is from some power brake booster parts that weren’t made exactly to specifications. These parts could cause a decrease in braking power over time that could result in a car accident. Honda has not heard of any accidents or injuries from the defective parts. They became aware of the problem from watching warranty claims. Owners will be notified by mail in July and the brake booster will be replaced for free if needed by dealers.
